    OK

this isnt the normal style music blog, its a major fucking Rant

im fed up with people only liking one style of music, just because it will make them look "cool"

in main here im saying english/american "Jrock fans", yes, I LIKE JROCK, but i also love alot of other styles of music too, including classical, and pop!

FUCKING HELL i mean Jrock isnt just one type of music, there are sub-genres, and styles within it, JUST LIKE english and american and fuckin any country you wants rock bands!

Do english indie fans like metal music?

    NO THEY GENERALY DONT

so why are people liking fucking polysics [this is fucking pop/rave/dance music in essence] and then dir en grey [METAL MUSIC] at the same time? its obsurd!!!

people shouldnt ignore other music, there is some fucking amazing things out there that people are just ignoring because its not within their "style" BOLLOCKS, music isnt a fashion, music is an enjoyment, somthing you listen to because YOU LIKE IT! NOT BECAUSE ITS "cool" OR "fashionable", music is love, hate, anger.. music is EMOTION

IM FED UP WITH PEOPLE SWITCHING MUSIC LIKE ITS A FASHION, OR FASHION STATEMENT.

LIKE THE MUSIC YOU LIKE REGARDLESS OF WHAT OTHER PEOPLE THINK OF YOU!!!

DO JAPANESE PEOPLE JUST LISTEN TO JAPANESE MUSIC?
    FUCKING NO THEY DONT
SO WHY DO YOU? IT DOESNT MAKE YOU COOL,IT DOESNT MAKE YOU DIFFERENT, WHAT MAKES YOU DIFFERENT IS YOU! AND WHO YOU ARE! IT DOESNT MAKE YOU ANY BETTER THAN ANYONE ELSE

WILL YOU EVER BE HAPPY IF YOU ARENT YOURSELF??

what i cant understand is why people do this to themselves?
Why call something crap, most of the time before they have even listened to it, just because its not without their "style" without giving it the time of day?
YOU COULD FIND IT THE MOST INSPIRATING PIECE OF MUSIC EVER THAT CHANGES YOUR LIFE
not that you would find out
BECAUSE ITS " NOT GOOD" because its "NOT JROCK"

ARGHHHHHHH ITS NOT A LIFESTYLE!! ITS FUCKING.... GRR ITS MUSIC! ITS A SOUND!!

TRUE MUSIC LOVERS, DONT GIVE A CRAP WHAT THE "GENRE" IS, THEY JUST CARE HOW IT MAKES THEM FEEL

RIGHT NOW IM LISTENING TO JESSE MACARTNEY, and i dont CARE if that makes me uncool
Yesterday i listened to The Cribs
In a while i might listen to marilyn manson
OH LOOK, THREE TOTALY DIFFERENT GENRES... HOW FUCKING UNCOOL AM I? ... dont care

I ENJOY IT AND THATS ALL THAT MATTERS
AND IM FUCKING SIIIIIIIICK OF PEOPLE ONLY LIKING THE STUFF THEY THINK IS COOL

THINK HOW STUPID YOU MUST LOOK TO JAPANESE PEOPLE??? EVER THORT OF THAT?

    FUCKING WANKERS!

GIVE MUSIC A CHANCE, DONT BE SO CLOSED MINDED, LOVE MUSIC BECAUSE ITS MUSIC, NOT BECAUSE OF HOW IT WILL LOOK WRITTEN ON YOUR MYSPACE/BLOG/WHATEVER!!!

ok rant over, although im still fuking angrry

ARRRRGH i hope someone agrees with me :(

    x

people should listen to everything, even if its just to give it a chance! no matter what country it comes from. its just stupidly biased otherwise

    JANNERS!!!

    Janne Da Arc

I’ve been wanting to write this blog from the off, Janners are one of my favourite Japanese bands, they are wonderful and I just cant get enough of them. Everything about them is spectacular, their guitar is beautifully melodic with beautifully bouncy rhythmic drumming, and the singing is just spectacular, there isn’t really anyone I could compare them to, because there is no need. They are just spectacular. Their sound is self-described as "pop-rock", and vocalist yasu takes many musical cues from his musical idol, Morrie of the 1970's Jrock band Dead End. However, Janners have proven themselves to be very versatile as well as proficient at their chosen instruments, and draws influence from the favourite bands and musical styles of all of their members.

The band was not named after historical figure Joan Of Arc, despite their song "Kyuuseishu --Messiah--" being about her; rather, yasu named the band after a character in the Manga "Devilman".

The current line-up consists of : Yasu (vocals), You (guitar), Ka-Yu (bass), Kiyo (Keyboardist), Shuji (drums).

On May 9, 2006, they celebrated their tenth anniversary of their formation, the date marking when the final member, shuji, became an official fixture of the band's line-up. They have released three Indies albums, nine major-label albums (including single collections), 26 singles, and 13 DVDs. As of January 2007, the members of Janne Da Arc are pursuing solo projects, concurrent with their work in the band.

Yasu has begun a side band known as Acid Black Cherry with several of his contacts in the musical world. Artists working on the project include SHUSE (formerly of La‘Chryma Christi), YUKI (formerly of Aucifer), Chisato (Penicillin), Sugizo (formerly of Luna Sea, and currently of S.K.I.N), and several others. Their first single, “SPELL MAGIC“, released on July 18 this year, and their second single “Black Cherry” will be released this September.

You is currently working on a solo career. His first album, LIFE ~the first movement~ released on June 20 of this year, amidst a fan club-only tour. He plans to release two more albums based on the theme of "life" and the experiences therein.

Ka-yu is currently working as a clothing and jewellery designer with his own label (Solid Beat) in a collaboration with Japanese jewellery maker GIGOR. He released a solo album (under his full name) on August 15, that returns to more a heavy-metal-like sound.

Kiyo currently has plans to release an unnamed piece of solo work later this year, and has been a support keyboardist for fellow avex artist kaede, providing support for two of her mini-albums (Landmark and Organic).

Shuji is currently acting as a support drummer on Janne Da Arc guitarist you's solo tour.

Now my personal favourite songs by Janne are “Junky Walker”, “Gaia” and “More Deep” however I’m quite happy to set my Itunes to just Janners and listen to their Discography all day long. They are so easy listening and I would recommend them to anyone form the Heavy Metal Fans to those of pop-punk and Happy Hardcore, and I would recommend the album D.N.A. as its my personal favourite, but to be honest, they are ALL good. Janne Da Arc can be found here : http://www.janne.co.jp/, and I have NO idea if they have a myspace.

Ok so for the video this week I have picked the one of the last videos Janne Made before the official Hiatus, so here it is : (mobius)

Ok so i hope you enjoyed this, Janne Da Arc are apsolutely amazing and wonderful and i really would recommend them to anyone :)

ok so depending on if my An Cafe single arrives, tomorrow will either be : Antic Cafe or The Juliana Theory.

    loves x

    Double Band Blog

ive had some problems with this blog. its been a bit shit to me, and ive even had to re-write it due to the crappyness that is the internet deleting the damn thing!

Ok so today I’m gonna talk about two bands, One I absolutely love love love and one I’m kind of new to myself, but however, I now love sooo much!

First off I will talk about Ayabie, they are a band that cant really be specifically classified, outside of “visual Kei”, their music consists of a wide variety of sounds and moods, ranging from catchy and upbeat to heavy and hard-edged punk songs. Ayabie was formed early 2004 by ex-Hinawana members Ryōhei, Takehito, and Intetsu with Aoi (formerly of ‘Cynical Biscuit‘ and ‘Mask‘) , they started with only support drummers, until Kenzo joined them in 2005. However their newest member is Yumehito (formerly of ‘Soroban‘), a support guitarist who filled in after Ryōhei's leave.

Ryōhei, was the Leader of the band, playing the guitar and writing most of the songs while he was in the band. He was previously in the band Hinawana, and is now in the band Megamosso. On his appearance he has said "It is like in an animation, there is always a hero who transform himself. As for me, I am the hero who transforms himself into a girl.” [LOLZ].

The current line up is - Aoi (vocals and dance coordination :P), Takehito (guitar), Intetsu (bassist), Kenzo (drummer), and Yumehito (2nd Guitar).

Ayabie have a whopping 26 singles under their belt, along with 2 albums, 2 mini albums and Yet they still don’t get the recognition they deserve in the Jrock communities outside of Japan. This band are for lack of a better word spectacular, with every album/single sounding different they are never dull and can keep even the most fickle people amused.

The Band have two new singles coming out this year -

1-Extreme Machine (エクストリーム・マシーン) which will be out on the 14th of September (lol Myv’s birthday)

And 2 - Day Dream, which will be available on the 6th of September.

So for the video today I will put their last single, the incredibly bouncy and catchy “Cubic [L/R]ock” which I personally just cannot get enough of J so here it is!

    isn’t that song just brilliant?

Ok so the second band im going to talk about is Asian Kung-fu generation, who I must admit I didn’t start listening to untill a month or so back, they were always on my list of bands I wanted to listen to but untill I got a prod into listening to them I made very little attempt. Their sound is very bouncy and happy and reminds me quite a lot of early Plastic Tree music.

The band was formed in 1996 by Kensuke Kita, Takahiro Yamada, and Masafumi Goto with Kiyoshi Ijichi joining the band shortly after. They played in many small venues until they released their first Indie EP in 2000, a six-song EP of English cover songs. In the following year, the band tried to get their first Japanese single, "Kona Yuki" onto indie radio shows. The song was eventually picked up by a popular radio DJ and played heavyily due to the demand of listeners.

The Current Line up of the band is : Masafumi Goto (lead vocals and Rhythm Guitar), Kensuke Kita (lead Guitar and backing vocals), Takahiro Yamada (bassist and backing vocals) and Kiyoshi Ijichi (drums).

The band released their second indie CD containing songs with Japanese lyrics later in 2001. In 2003, the band would release their first mini-album Hōkai Amplifier (崩壊アンプリファー, Hōkai Amplifier), which received immense critical acclaim with the sales of the album reaching 35 on the Oricon chart. When 2004 came around, the band won the award for Best New Artist; their video "Kimi to Iu Hana" also won the award for Best Music Video. The band to date have made around 8 albums, with a selection of 9 singles, and a new one “after dark” to be released on the 7th of November this year.

Their songs have been used as the opening music for two very popular anime series, firstly their song “rewrite” was used as the opening for the series Full Metal Alchemist, and their song "Haruka Kanata" is the second opening of the anime Naruto. In 2005, they released a DVD that stayed at number one on the Oricon DVD charts for an entire month, they have released 3 DVDs in total.

Although less original than the sound most Jrock bands produce, this band have a wonderful Raw sound that is similar to that of a lot of western rock bands, the music style is wonderfully happy and punk. And just make you smile, I love them and I’m so glad I finally took the time to listen to them, and I hope you enjoy them too, here is their PV - “Kimi to Iu Hana” (a flower called you)

Asian Kung-fu generation can be found here : http://www.sonymusic.co.jp/Music/Info/AKG/, and i dont know if they have a myspace.

Ok so thats it for today, this blog has been SO stressful i cant cope anymore *dies*

i recommend these bands to anyone, you will really enjoy them. i hope someone has read this or my dispair has been for nothing. x

    Blog For Felix

The Moi Dix Moi Issue, For Felix

This Blog is going to be more educational than the other one was.
Moi Dix Moi, the lesser known child of Malice Mizer. Sure, most, practically All Jrock lovers, some non-Jrock lovers know Gackt (malice mizers second vocalist). But how many of them know Moi Dix Moi… or even that Gackt came from Malice Mizer?

Moi Dix Moi is marked by Mana's selection of guest performers rather than a typical ‘band’ structure, and exhibits a combination of classical elements with hard rock and metal.

The band's name, which literally translates from French as "me ten months", has special meaning to Mana. "Moi" stands for his debut as a solo artist; "Dix" stands for the number ten and while one symbolizes the beginning of something, zero means something similar to "eternity"; "dix mois", again, means "ten months", the average time a baby grows inside its mother's womb before being born (the Japanese traditionally count gestation in lunar months).

10 months after the End of Malice Mizer and Mana released the first single of Moi Dix Moi - “Dialogue Symphonie” in October 2002. Here it is -

Now Moi Dix Moi’s music isn’t really to my taste, however much I love Malice Mizer, and even Gackt, but I can see both the appeal and the talent behind it, And the beauty that is The vocal style of this band, and for that reason I don’t mind listening to it, and since starting writing this, I have started to enjoy their music more. However Moi Dix Moi was more the music of my younger days when I wore a lot of black, and new rock boots. You could almost call them the Japanese Cradle Of Filth. The music is beautifully gothic, from the choice of instrument to the way in which both the original vocalist, Juka, and newer vocalist Seth, waver their voices into such brilliant sounds. And the look is spectacular, they once again have the look that only a Japanese band can pull off, and with four singles, three albums and one mini album under their belt, the newest having been released in March of this year, Moi Dix Moi have proved themselves worthy of acknowledgement outside of Japan, which they are slowly getting. More so in Germany and other areas of Europe, and in America, and less so in The UK.

You could say since leaving Malice Mizer, Mana has been taking fashion tips from Edward Scissor hands, but he’s lost none of the flair that he previously had, ( although he does look less like a girl :P )

In General I would recommend Moi Dix Moi, perhaps less so for fans of Gackt, but maybe for those elusive Nightmare fans :P, but all in all, they aren’t half bad if you just throw away your prejudices and listen to them for what they are. Because they really are pretty damn awesome, and for what I’ve seen pretty damn awesome live.

    Welcome To The First Blog

    OK so ranting begins.

Seeing as this is the first post im gonna talk about a few things =3

i will get te moaning out of the way first

What is whith these people who think just because they like a couple of japanese rock bands, namely Diru and Nightmare, that they are Jrock leaders and totally cool and original??? i mean, they know Diru because theyve made their way into Kerrang! magazine in England, and toured with Deftones in  america, and they know nightmare because they did the music for the Death Note anime... HOW HAS DEATH NOTE BECOME SO WONDERFUL TO SUCH IMBECILES? i mean... how is it that everyone seems to like it just because other people like it? im not even to fond of the Anime to be fair, i love the books, and i love the films.. i just wasnt so keen on the anime!

Im gonna get this rant out of the way right now, though i doubt it will ever get out of my system! WHAT THE FUCK IS WITH THE PLANET KISSING MCR's BUTT LIKE THEY ARE GODS????? -THEY SUCK- rant over. dont even think of ever trying to talk to me about them, i will just walk away, after setting you on fire.

ok seeing as the latest album i bought hasnt arrived yet, im gonna talk about a few lesser known Jrock bands for today.

Now everyone seems to have heard of The Gazette, Miyavi, Gackt, Hyde, Nightmare and so on.
There are a few really awesome Jrock bands that dont get enough attention outside of japan (ie Plastic Tree) so here we go. Will start with a band i myself had forgotten for a while, called "Charlotte" accept they have now changed their name to the same but written in katakana, so it now reads "しゃるろっと", and if you want to know more about them you can find them here :
http://www.charlotte-club.com/  or on their myspace!  OK so today im gonna talk to you about them. When I first heard them, my first thought was "An Cafe + Ayabie - Fashion + Candy + Acid" let loose in a recording studio. They are for lack of a better word, spectacular. They just scream bouncy happyness, and i dare anyone to dislike them. so here is their PV - Diamond Busaiku

    arent they just brilliant?

Ok, another Japanese Band who arent going as far as they could be, and are yet to release much "serial number"  (シリアル⇔NUMBER)  to look at they make you smile, and at the same time wonder "is that guitarist really a guy", they have the much clichéd look of a japanese rockband, with flambouyant looks and hairstyles, yet they dont yet it interfere with their raw and individual music style which i personaly just cant get enough of! so here is their first PV "monokuro rinbu kyoku"

AND third and finally, one of my favourite bands, who have been around for a long long long time, but who are generaly ignored especialy in the english Jrock communities, is Plastic Tree, they have a very original sound, which wih the older songs was raw and passionate and punky, Yet now they are older it has mellowed into a beautiful and romantic sound with a undertone of meloncholy which can be seen portrayed on the singers face in pretty much every PV they have produced.
It took me a while to decide which PV to put here, but ive decided on "spica", just to show the beautiful meloncholic yet romantic sound they can produce, making them seem so gentle :

ok i think three will do for now.

You can find me in these places :

loves if you read this x
